Smart TV Player Controls (Android TV)

On Smart TVs, player controls are designed for remote navigation and large-screen viewing:

  • Remote Navigation: Use your remote’s directional buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right) to highlight and select player options.

  • Play/Pause: Press the OK/Select button or the Play/Pause button on your remote to control playback.

  • Seek Bar: Navigate left or right to fast-forward or rewind through the timeline. Some TVs also support long-press navigation for quicker seeking.

  • Subtitles & Audio: Open the Subtitles/Audio menu using the dedicated button or by selecting the “CC/Audio” icon on-screen to switch subtitle languages or audio tracks (when available).

  • Quality Settings: Access the Settings (⚙️) menu to adjust video quality. Many TVs default to “Auto” for optimal stability based on your connection.

  • Volume Control: Use your remote’s volume buttons to adjust the audio level.

  • Fullscreen & Exit: Most TVs are fullscreen by default. Press Back or Exit to close the player and return to the previous screen.

  • Quick Jump (if supported): Some remotes allow double-press or long-press of Left/Right buttons to skip ahead or go backwards in larger increments.

  • Idle Controls: Player controls automatically hide during playback. Press any button on the remote to bring them back up.
